New headunit has no memory

Hi all. I'm working on installing a Boss Audio BCPA9 headunit on my 2001 Corvette. I got it all hooked up, and everything is working great until turn it off, then all the memory gets wiped. I've confirmed that it's getting 12V constant power on the yellow all the way up to the HU harness. Ground connection tests good, and red ACC power is functioning as it should. This is the only thing standing in my way from buttoning this up and getting on with my life. Anyone have an idea?

Id check the fuse on the HU if it has one to see if its good or bad.. if not make sure it has one inline. You can pull the Radio and place it on your bench and test it with a 12v battery over night and see if it persist. If so.. if under warranty send it back. If it works properly on the bench, you may have an electrical issue in the vehcle and prob would need to run another source/ supply line preferb. form like an Aux location in the fuse panel. IMO

If HU is not working as it should and Warranty is no longer in effect.. Id recommend looking at a better made/ quality made HU, such as Kenwood/JVC, Alpine, and even Sony, or even a good clean used Eclipse.Pioneer would be my last option as I am not very fond of those, but Pricing and features are of the new are tempting
