New hdc4 12s box ..with octo!!

thats very nice man, how do you calculate your tuning with octos though? and how much length and all that you need? seems like a lot of math
Nah its not too bad im not sure the exact formula as it pertains to octos ..im sure its very similar to aeros...i had the design done by dcarcustoms on maf

 
Its not that hard heres the official formula and ugh!!How to Calculate the Area of a Regular Octagon - For Dummies Here's an easier way break it down into basic shapes 1 rectangle 31"sq , 2 smaller rectangles 8.75"sq each, and four triangles 3.12"sq add them together your area of the octagon is 61"sq find any online port calculator use 61 as the area and it will find the length at the desired frequency If you compare the calculated octo at 61" to the area of a circle of the same size you get 59.14" so the difference of 1.86" is minimal you almost could use the area of a circle to calculate a octogon for ball parking the numbers
