3/4 inch drill chuck???

I got a 3/4 inch drill bit to drill a hole through my floor then my box, only to remember my drill is only a 3/8 lol.

Is there a such thing as a 3/4 inch drill? I've been looking on amazon and home depot and I can't find any.... Besides a hammer drill which I don't know what that is lol.

That's huge for a drill bit.. Why not just do a bunch of 3/8 bolts? Then you wouldn't have to get a new drill

Well I already bought the 3/4 threaded rod and everything.

It'd be easier to do one 3/4 rod than a bunch of 3/8 because of how the bottom of my truck's floor is (underneath the vehicle). I don't think I have room for bolts side by side.

Yeah I bought one of those today too. I think I will use that hole saw dealio for just the metal and then switch to that for wood. it says that drilling depth on that hole saw is only 1.6 inches so it might be close...

3/4 drill bit with a 3/4 shank is probably made for a lathe chuck not a hand drill. There is always a spade drill but not sure if there is one designed for metal.

Yes anything that big or bigger are meant for lathe holders & torque drills made for concrete.

a hole saw through metal is questionable. It is possible but the metal should be thin sheet metal and I would probably use some oil or you will dull the teeth. Let the teeth remove the material do not force or you will dull the teeth. Also, use an electric drill not a battery drill, the battery drill will probably die out. Let us know how it goes, Good luck.
