New computer build, any input?

Get a Aftermarket cooler, i7s run very hot, if you plan on overclocking at all you need a aftermarket cooler..
Let me you know if you need any help, or you tube my name ChaseL007 I have some videos on my antec 1200 build
My only advice is not to listen to this ***.

That's overrated. I built mine for years before I discovered kandm.
how is building a pc overrated? why not save money AND figure out the inner workings of a pc?

kandm is overpriced, they have to be, they are a small business there is no way they can compete with newegg or zzf. i am guessing you are only promoting it repeatedly because "m" is a mod here, however if you are serious you shouldn't be giving pc advice

build it yourself and save the money

buy the nicest case and power supply you can afford since those are the two items that will carry over to future builds. cant go wrong with lian-li, silverstone or coolermaster case combined with a ocz or pcp&c power supply

i'm hooked on SSD for OS drives now so i would suggest decent 30-32gb SSD and a large storage drive. although if you dont have that sort of budget a 36gb Raptor and a large storage drive is a good option, just not as fast with more noise and heat

I don't agree. Raptors are a waste of money 200$ for 80gigs?, plus the extra money you have to spend to keep your data on a back up....I had a raptor for 3 days and returned it because the small 1-2fps gain was shitty, take that extra 200$ and buy your self another gpu...There awesome for severs but for common people I disagree 100%

Thats why i switched to SSD, but if you wanna go small drive for OS and large drives for storage its the best option other than SSD imo

Not sure where you bought a 74/80gb Raptor for $200, but all Raptor drives can be bought for about a $1/gb or less these days. It's a good option for those not looking to deal with raiding numerous 7200rpm drives together.

The one question I did have is are all my parts compatible with each other?
Yes that is fine..About the same stuff I used in my i7 build for some one...If you plan on overclocking that i7 just buy a aftermarket cooler for like 30$...your going to need some artic silver 5 thermal paste...and a molex the antec is really big its hard to get cables around the back

don't use that shitty thermal paste they send you, i have 10 tubes of that shit sitting on my desk...If you plan on running the cpu power cable behind the case you need a extender, the stock cable won't reach behind the case...

heres what im talking about with the wires, i have about 6 custom cut holes in there, this is a old pic my new one is much cleaner

i just built one for myself , i went with an.

ASUS P5Q Pro Mobo

Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550

corsair dominator Ram

BFG 550W Power supply

arctic cooler freezer 7 pro

Ice Q 4 graphix card

I have it overclocked at 3.2GHZ works like a charm

You should really learn the fundamentals of computer and computer hardware before you start spouting things like that. I really really doubt you saw any actual gain in FPS. But that's to be expected. You should not see any FPS gains with a faster hard drive, that's not why you get it. The gain, as far as games goes, is going to be installing and loading the game, not FPS.

I disagree and agree...You will see a small fps gain with the raps the hd can access data faster, you won't notice it but I saw a 1-2 fps gain, Going with the i7 future proofs his gear so he won't need to upgrade for along time.

btw heres the cables that you will need if you want to route the 2 cables behind your case.

This is well said my scooby, dont buy from them.. As he said they are bound to be overpriced and im pretty sure the reasoning behind him listing that site..
