New car (used) suggestions..

I'm trying to get rid of the Durango before i go back to school and pick up a new (in my case used) car. This is my criteria.

*10k or less*, nothing more, I don't have the extra coin to drop on 10k+ or car payments.

- Preferably a car under 80k miles, i guess I could get a car with a bit more, if its a good motor.

-Somewhat sporty, i don't need FAST, but i wouldnt mind something quick.

These are what I have been looking at:

- 00+ Maxima's, GTI's (a little smaller than everything else, but they are badass) Acura TL/CL-s, Honda Accord V6, and lastly Lexus IS-300's but i cant really find one in my price range.

Any suggestions for me? Motor problems? ****** problems? or any other notorious problems of the listed cars?

american cars for me been bad with trannys auto ones that is hondas are good but u gota keep up with them. and parts are all over the place

I'm not a fan of any neon's body style, at all. And i couldnt see myself one driving one, unless it was given to me, and it was an SRT4.

yea the SRT4 is a bad *** car man. dont sleep on it there fast but its a neon ahhahah my friend day had one every year from 1996 tell 2000 he kept trading them in and adding like 5 grand for the new one they kinda got better every year i guess

Id look in the honda/toyota sections

I know probably 30-40 people with honda/toyotas with over 200k, orignal motor and ******

My job is pretty far from anywhere so we all put some miles on our cars

Just do the mantiance and keep everything lubed and you will be golden

Id look into RSX,TL,Corolla,civic, similar

ive heard some good and some bad about nissan trannys going out at around 130k-150k

every one i know that has a honda has 160,000 milles and going strong no lie . **** i should of got a honda they can take some miles put on there ****** and motors

I have a 1999 honda civic ex coupe, 110,000 miles factory brakes and rotors, factory clutch ****** etc... only tune up stuff has been changed, runs strong and gets 32-42mpg...
