New car need to hookup subs, amp from old car

I just got a new car. It's a 2009 VW Jetta, with the OEM premium sound system 8 speakers, bluetooth, 6 disc changer.

It sounds ok for now, but I need that base back!!!!

But I have my amp and sub box I want to get installed in the new car.

Car Toys installed my subs, amp, etc. in my old car. They did a pretty good job. So I might go back there for this. Because I just don't have the skills to DIY.

I am keeping the OEM headunit, for now.

I was wondering, what all do I need, and how much to expect to pay for the install?

I might also get a pair of nice sounding 6x9s with some solid mid-base. Any recommendations on those? Looking to spend around $130 for the 6x9s. To mount in the rear deck. I would also need a small amp for the 6x9s. What amp to get for these?

The two subs are JL Audio 10w3v2-d4

The amp is JL Audio 500/1

The box is custom made ported, and already sitting in my new cars trunk.

Thanks man! I know I wish I had the balls to do it. But its a nice car and I don't want to screw anything with the electronics these VWs have.

I know I'll need RCA cables ran, and amp power wires ran from trunk to engine compartment. Not even sure how to hookup the OEM headunit to the amps? Is that complicated? I have no idea what I need.

wiring up sub and running wires is nothing but time. I assume ull need a loc unless you factory HU has preamps which I doubt it does.

What's a "pac"??? Sorry, never delt with factory HU before.

As Disturbed said, a LOC for the HU. As far as 6x9's in the back..If you are just wanting to amplify some speakers in the cabin, I would recommend a decent set of components for the front doors off a separate 100 watt rms/ch Class A/B amp. Think of it this way, do you ever go to a concert and intentionally keep your back to the stage? Probably not. Move the sound up front so when you are sitting and listening, it sounds like the stage set is in front of you, not behind you.

I totally agree with you. I guess I was just used to the 6x9s in my old car, and they had some nice decent mid base.

OK I will go with some nice components up front, and leave the rear doors and rear deck stock speakers.

Since the factory speakers up front already have the tweeters there, it should be an easy install.

jl is ok , but cost way too much . better can be had for the same or even less $$$$.do the loc an run an eq ,it will give you more adjustments for the amps that way ,i see that you had cdt in your other car ,why not stay with the cdt's ? or a new set from cdt ..also would recommend at least a autotek 7007 eq if not better ,no clarion ,then run the rca's off the eq to the amps and your all done.

OK ya I did like the CDTs in my other car. I should have just took them out before I traded in my old car.

I think he has the Jl 500/1 from his old system for the subs and wants a 2ch for the comps

Oh nice! Yes please get me some pricing with everything. But not yet ready to buy, need a few weeks to save up some cash.

The 2 channel amp is just for the front components. I already have the JL 500/1 sub amp.

Can you recommend a nice 2 channel amp for the components around $100-$150.
