Although the nemisis colossal 15" got low and loud it was time for a little more out put
And I just so happened to come across 2 brand new old school 18" crossfire XS V1's still in the original boxes and couldn't pass them up!
Not my preferred style of sub seeing as I like to play really low frequency music but the added cone area helps make up for the loss in excursion and i am surprised at how musical these subs are! They will get down and not miss a beat with just about any style of music.
I went back and forth on the box design i didn't know if i wanted to do a 6th order or maybe try something else
I settled on a small 6th order 8.25cu.ft net @24hz and 12.5cu.ft@44hz
I put red oak ribbing /cross bracing everywhere and it worked out very well you can put your hand on the box while it's at full tilt and not feel any vibration the box is rock solid and i put 2 coats of garage clear coat epoxy inside and out and 2 coats of bed liner on the outside to help weather prof it seeing as it will be exposed to the elements in the bed of my truck
