comments welcome, going to FG the rear of the box and the front of the box.

Right now I have made my rings at 16 " , I will cut the 11 1/4 " cutout for the sub in the bottom ring with the dato cuts, then I plan to step cut the other 2 rings, Fill the steps in with FG, except for a 1/4 lip I will leave on the top #3 ring which I will use to mount a custom speaker grill I have plans in my head for.

Probably going to use some expended steel, sand blast and powder coat it, then have a custom polished aluminum retaining ring made to hold the grill in place.

This box will be ported when im done, I am aiming for 2.5 Cubes after displacments, I plan on fabricating a Interchangable port system for it.

The box will house 1 12" Fi Q w/ BP power option

WHen you cut the hole for the sub will that lip cause any problems?

Are you refering to the dato cuts on the ring? If so no they will not,

Its hard to tell in the picture but my blank there is 16" across and my sub is only 12 " so there is going to be no clearance issues at all.

FYI I toasted that blank in the pictures when I got home from work today. 12 hour shift + tape measure + power tools = disaster. I cut the hole to small. somehow or another my 11 1/8" hole ended up being a 10" hole. I think I measured to the wrong side of the router bit.

BUT I went ahead and used one of the other blanks and got my first mounting ring cut. I will attach it tomorrow, and then if I don't get a hurricane up my butt I shall start to glass.

But im going to end up with a tton of rain no matter what so the project might have to get put on hold due to humidity
