New Build for Mach 5 *PICS*

dimensions are 36" wide, 16" height, and 26.5"depth. The port is 5.5" x 16" so there is 88 square inches of port. The port takes up exactly one cubic foot of space.
awesome. My plan is almost identical to yours except my port is going to be on the right side instead of in the middle.

do you have any bracing, or is that why you put the port in the middle?

I was going to do some internal bracing but because of the port its was sturdy enough. This box is just for a daily driver so I am not terribly concerned about flex issues.

sh*t guys. I was going to install this box and my d*mn transmission went out AGAIN!!!! 3rd time in the past year. I am so beyond pissed. Im about to go to a dealership tomorow and get an Sdime and be done with the stupid japanese bullsh*t.

Then to top that off, my g/f came to pick me up. We put all my system stuff in her car, she goes to start it and nothing! So her brother came down to try and get it goin. We messed with it for over an hour and couldnt get it to start. So their dad comes over and figures out it was just a blown fuse. We felt pretty stupid.

Then to make the day as sh*tty as can be, we tried to install the box in the trunk. The thing is too long to fit inside the trunk hole. I am super pissed and ready to kill something lol.

3x the same problem on a newer purchased car.... Might want to look into local (maybe federal) lemon law. Usually = new vehicle
The ****** is still on a 2 year 12,000 mile warranty and its only been in my car for 6 months. It's the 2nd one they have put in and they have all crapped out due to manufacturer error. Im thinkin a lawsuit is in order

warranty (so far as I know) does not matter whatsoever on the lemon law. Them saying, "well we can keep fixing it for free," does not weigh in on your claim of a lemon. its designed to protect you (the consumer) from someone trying to sell you a vehicle with a unfix-able (or considerably unreliable) problem.

Taken from http://www.lemonlawamerica.com/state_laws/tennessee.htm

55-24-205. Presumptions - Term of protection - Notice to manufacturer.

It shall be presumed that a reasonable number of attempts have been undertaken to conform a motor vehicle to the applicable express warranties, if:

The same nonconformity has been subject to repair four (4) or more times by the manufacturer or its agents or authorized dealers, but such nonconformity continues to exist; or

The vehicle is out of service by reason of repair for a cumulative total of thirty (30) or more calendar days during the term of protection.

The term of protection and such thirty-day period shall be extended by any period of time during which repair services are not available to the consumer because of a war, invasion, strike or fire, flood or other natural disaster.

It shall be the responsibility of the consumer, or the representative of the consumer, prior to proceeding under the provisions of § 55-24-203, to give written notification by certified mail directly to the manufacturer of the need for the correction or repair of the nonconformity. If the address of the manufacturer is not readily available to the consumer in the owner's manual or manufacturer's warranty received by the consumer at the time of purchase of the motor vehicle, such written notification shall be mailed to an authorized dealer. The authorized dealer shall upon receipt forward such notification to the manufacturer. If, at the time such notice is given, either of the conditions set forth in subsection (a) already exists, the manufacturer shall be given an additional opportunity after receipt of the notification, not to exceed ten (10) days, to correct or repair the nonconformity.
