New Build!!!!! Big Bass Small Space!!!!!

i am trying to keep the tweets close as i can to the mids.....

and they will be angled upwards like the mids too.

Lookin pretty sweet. The box is definitly huge for a regular cab. Only thing I find sad is that you can squeeze a larger box in your mini truck than I can get into my crew cab F-350 lol. I'm thinking about either going with 4 8's or 3 10's

Whats the little notch up at the top-back? is that to get around the rear window seal or something?

yea kinda.... the back of the cab has a slight angle at the top right before it gets to the window so i have to work around it

as far as tweeter and mids arrangement....

i am going to mount them in different spots, and angles and drive it for a couple days or so untill i find one i like the most.....

that should help with the sound stage, and where i am going to mount the tweeters in relation to the mids.

here is some pics of what i have been working on so i can get started on my door panels and stuff:

put grand am eyeball vents in the dash... looks different and fucitons the same.... should look pretty good covered in black suede

I have already been through a couple sets of the door panels. I am interested to see how close your are to what your goal was....and what materials you used. I was afraid of things not properly adhereing to the door panel.

yeah that is my worry.....

but i am using spandex fabric and using ca to attach it to the door first then using resin on that so make the general layout..... then using woven fiberglass cloth on the back side for strength and to attach it to the door panel even more!

i will be using 8" PVC pipe attached to the door itself and the mids will be attached to the pipe, not the door panel. i am afraid the door panel fiberglass won't hold an extra 16 lbs long at 150+ db...........

but i am hoping i should be able to mold the panel around where the 8's will sit on the door....

here is some pics of the mids and tweets:

and a pic of what the doors should look like when done:

questions? and comments welcome!!!!
nice build here

as far as tweeter placement on ur doors i would put one tweet inbetween the 8's and one tweet higher on the door...or in the a-pillar to raise ur imaging

I wood love to do what this guy is doing he is puting 2 19ov.2's in a regler cab dodge ram just like mine http://www.icixsound.com/vb/showthread.php?t=23277&page=1&pp=10&highlight=19ov.2 go to page 5 to see how mutch room he has behind the sets
to be honest with you i would think i would still be louder..... and to me 10 8's ported looks cooler then 2 sealed 18's.

he should have 508.94^2 of cone area or so and i should have 502.7^2 of cone area, so he is alittle bit more then me, but me being ported will make up the difference.... still that does look pretty cool having 2 18's!!!!!

yea that was just a quick idea...... i will proabably do something like you said.... i will be mounting the mids and tweets on the door panel and driving it around. and move then every other day or so and see what i like best, and what sounds best! so the tweets maybe higher or lower in the door, i dunno yet.

thanks for the info though!

well sorry for no updates lately!

i have been working 6 days a week 10 hours a day, so i don't really feel much like working on fiberglass and what not! lol

but i will be getting my tool box for the bed soon and start running wire and i have to get a battery soon!!!! my Optima is crapping out on me! who can blame it thought it is 7 yrs old.....
