Nowhere did I say it was his vehicle. I only said that he put a 10 for midbass in one of his builds. And he obviously needs that many mids and highs to keep up with 8 18's on 15,000 watts, and not just have them for a "wow factor".

Its overkill, as is 8 18" woofers. You obviously arent very concerned about sq in a build like that. Its all for the "WOW" factor

Why else would they be doing it?

What big system isn't for a "wow" factor. But with that many subs, he needs a boat load of mids to even begin to keep up with the sub stage. It would be a completely worthless build if he had all of them subs, and 1 set of 6.5's.

Its far far from an sq setup obviously......there is no need for a 10" woofer in the doors.......they are obviously not going for an all out sq build with that many drivers......why waste your time, efforts, and money, when it is going to do nothing in achieving what I would call "sound quality"

Sure there could be a benefit, if everything was crossed over, but that is not nearly the ideal woofer to be trying to achieve mid-bass with

Its not his money, and its not his car. He is obviously doing it for someone else, who wants the "WOW" factor.

Have you looked into his own build? 4 of the same woofers....does he have 10's in the doors to cover "mid-bass?"

No, but in his own tahoe there are what looks like 6.5's in the a pillar. Still totally unnecessary, just not as bad as 10's for midbass.

A 6.5 is not unrealistic, but it is if it's crammed in the a-pillar. Anyway, getting back on track, this kid has 4 batteries and is going to run this btl off a memphis 4k. Would he be alright? I don't understand everybody and their volts dropping because i'm running 800 watts to my bl with a stock alternator and not extra batteries and the lowest i've ever dropped is 13.7.
