New at this, should I get a cap?

I have a Hifonics Brutus 4,000 Watt amp, with a Hifonics Goliath 3200 Watt sub, should I get a cap or just another battery? I have never really had a system where I needed to add something extra.

1st upgrade big 3 and primary battery to kinetik optima or something

prob with 4k watts will need an alternator upgrade but try big three n 1st battery first

search for big three is u have no idea what im talkin bout

also a cap would be a bandaid n waste of money not a real fix

what gauge power wire u using use 0 gauge is ur not already

A cap is just a band-aid. It is another thing the charging system has to charge. That much power you will need a ho alternator.

extra battery, big 3, 0 gauge wire run... all have been stated but definitely what you need cap wont do anything.

Yea sorry guys, I was giving you peak ratings, my bad, it is 2000RMS amp at 1 ohm, and the sub is 1600 RMS.

I say just do the big 3 and see how it goes. The amp may be a little overrated.

I would say with that much wattage the big 3 isn't even a question, nor is adding a second battery. But you should actually do the big 3, add a second battery, AND get a HO ALt...
