New amp, subs barely move

Assuming you're saying wire the ZRS down to 1 ohm? My only question with that is how, even though it's a monoblock, there's two pos and neg posts. I understand that I go from LSub+ to RSub+ to Amp+ and LSub- to RSub- to Amp- but do I put them to the same side terminals or from the left side - and right side + etc... If that makes any sense haha sorry
What ^ said. its the same inside. But yes wire the ZRS down to 1 ohm then use a DMM to set the gain for the voltage that = 1000 watts, Its not 100% accurate but it will be close enough.

You had the other amp at 1ohm

what i would do is double check everything starting from the hu and make sure the rca's are hooked up right and to the amp,and so on.double check everything on the amp and if it still doesnt work, then it has to be the amp

Just installed my new Cadence TXA1000D monoblock amp to my two JL 12w3v3s. Went from pushing 500 rms x1 @ 4 ohm to 1000 rms x1 @ 1 ohm. I was expecting to see my subs move a lot more than they did but the opposite is true. I know the wiring is right and have played with the gains and my HU settings but they still wont move like I know they should. Any suggestions?
I told you those Cadence amps are garbage.

What you're probably experiencing is the bogus current limiting circuitry in the amp trying to protect itself from letting the smoke out. Running at 1ohm IS NEVER A GOOD IDEA. Your amp will not last long and you won't sound better, it's always a lose-lose unless you listen to sine waves. I don't care what it says on the manufacturer's website or what stickers are one the box; 1ohm is bad news. It's hard on the transformers and a $200 Chinese made 1kW amp isn't exactly the most robust or finely engineered piece of electronics now is it?

Return & exchange that amp for a non-fleamarket grade 3-500w amp like this; WoofersEtc.com - GT-22 - Boston Acoustics 2 Ch. 390 Watt Amplifier

Despite the specs, or in spite of them depending on your POV, that amp will pound the hell out of nearly anything. Very special amp IMO and I've always been shocked why more people didn't buy these.
