So i picked this amp up for cheap off someone, and It looks pretty old. Its a Rockford Punch 75, it works and I was going to use it because its got a cool old school look to it. But realistically, what can i push with this amp?? Any help would be great. I made a few other posts but it kept saying that my posts wont show up till approved by a Mod, but they never showed up.

Thanks

Yes, it is a 1st gen Punch 75 from approx. 1985-1988. It is rated at 37.5w x 2 @ 4 ohms, 60w x 2 @ 2 ohms or 120w bridged at 4ohms. (Do NOT use at 2ohms mono or it will have a short life)

I made an extensive RF Old School Amp timeline here:

Rockford Fosgate Discussion Forum - Rockford Fosgate Old School Amp Timeline

Not much of an amp by today's standards. Email me at my username [(bigdwiz)] at gmail.com if you want to sell or if you just want more info.

It's fairly underrated and stable into low ohm stereo loads. I remember seeing one running 22 speakers back in the day. You won't get the kind of performance out of it you want if you try to push a modern inefficient SPL type sub. They do well on components though.

I can tell you that is rad! I dig old school amps. I still have my first amp - it's a Rockford Power 300 4-channel (circa 1992). Last time it was hooked up it worked just fine.
