it wasn't the guy that had a bunch of them in his king cab, red in color and a ns1 or 2 amps powering them was it?

Actually the opposite they never have it more than half rated power so they never got full excursion and never heard the spider slap...

I'll more than likely order 2 d2 recones and do both then I'll have both fresh and run at .5 ohm

Nvm this is the guy I bought from and yea I'm really doubting he didn't know this woofer had a manufacture defect now

omg that's what I was asking...thats that same vid I was thinking of too. Bunch of them in his king cab......extended cab is what s10 pick ups have such as mine. That's a much bigger cab area. And it's red as I stated. *throws hands in da air* wtf?!

Not only will having different impedance coils mean each woofer is seeing more or less power than the other, but the different impedance coils are actually slightly different in size, wire gauge, wind width, or SOMETHING to make those impedances different so all the other parameters of the sub will be slightly different. Possibly not enough different to make an audible difference but certainly enough different that they won't play well together.
