Stereo memory loss (DEH-150MP)

I recently installed a Pioneer DEH-150MP head unit for a Nissan Sentra GXE (2000). I followed this wiring diagram for that car: http://www.installdr.com/Harnesses/Nissan-Wiring.pdf

I have a prevalent problem, everytime the ignition is off and the car has no key in the ignition (no power), all the settings are lost. I've tried to rewire everything over again and make sure my connections were strong (I used crimp connectors), still the same thing. I've heard that it might be a battery problem, but at this point I've given up. Any ideas?

You may need to switch the red and yellow wire around and it should fix it

You think so? In the diagram it says the Pink wire coming from the Nissan is the constant, should I try anyway and switch the connections?

Id try ..because it can work if they are reversed...The yellow is constant for memory and red is switched on the radio...

*EDIT* It worked temporarily, now the head unit wont turn on at all.
