okay guys so i need some good ideas here. i don't want to make many changes to the interior of my truck but i want good sound. so i need to do some custom work to my door panels. tell me what you think.

the blue area is where i'd like to place my woofers. tweets undecided.

my door panel comes in two pieces. the last picture shows the second half which is what's in my way. it is a like a piece of card board with to giant cloth pockets glued to it

there is a link here somewhere on how to make door pods.

I will post it for you when I get home.

Im going to tell you now get ready for a lot of work, bad smells, and a big mess if you are a nubie

im just worried the glass would look to nice then i'd have to add some accents to other places to match and what not
You don't have to paint/gloss over the glass, you can just add a normal speaker grill and carpet it to keep it 'old school'

i guess. i could prolly use the material already on there. just cut it up. okay i'll try to glass it. i like the old school feel in the interior.

you think i would have to cut out that whole gray section?

Just me, but I'd make some mdf rings to mount the speakers in and put those on the current door pannel (not the sheet metal, the panel with the carpeting and such), and then glass 'em in, and re carpet the bottom to blend in
