actually...i put in a w3 inplace of my ID about a month ago and it couldnt compete with my ID... Id never really like JL anyway..all my friends have owned them and eversingle one they've had sounded like shit or fried...so im kinda against them..thanks for the sugestion tho!

i looked into the elemental design...but i heard some review that they didnt do to well...if i were to get one of those i would get the 13ov.2 but once again...do i have the power for it? also i live really close by..well a state away from them so shipping would be fast...as i dont have a sub now....this is kinda being rushed..you guys are a great help so far!

how did you like the edesign sub? OG=??? wtf haha...it seems like their baskets are knock-offs of ID's but yet their components are similar to CDT's.... hmm i guess i would have to get the kv line since i only have 360 watts... oh btw thats with the gain turned all the way down. Does that mean if i get a more powerful sub say one that handles 500 rms..i could turn the gain up and it would not hurt it? or is there that much more risk of distortion by turning the gain up?

im thinkin that i might just have to stick with another ID...would going up to an IDQ be louder? its rated at 350 watts as apposed to the ID at 250...but the ID looks prettier...or what about an ATlas 12''??? would the Atlas be louder? everythig else pretty much needs more power than i have....

I read on SD that the IDQ isnt much louder.

Atlas' are nice, id pick one of those up

OK HERES THE DEAL

am i the only one that know how 2 use a w3 sub.....my goodness.......people throw loads of power into a w7 and when it comes down to the lower line of subs they get scared 2 power them....i think jl is misleading there rms when it comes 2 the w3 line....they recommend 300rms when actuality it makes love to 500watts......i'm not going to say .."yeah put 1000watts to a 10 or 12 w3 no...maybe the 15 or 18w3..being that they have bigger coils ..they probably can handle the added heat......but the 10 and 12w3 can take 500-600watts and it doesnt feel stressed or look like it uncomfortable....and it will sound ridiculuosly good

its ok buddy... lol i know what your talking about...but your also need to realize what sounds good to one person may sound liek arse to another. we've hooked up a w3 to many amps and yes they can handle to power...but not for long...belive me i know me and my buddies blew up like 5 of those d@mn things... and got each and everyone replaced on warranty..lol its just i dont like JL and thats that... but thank you for your opinion!

those SX are umm ya we all know...smokin! get those! I dont think you will be disappointed! Now i just gotta find a d@mn sub to replace my ID...otherwise it looks like another ID is goin back in...hmm nobody wants to replace with the same sub...thats no fun
