Hi I need some suggestions for a speaker box. I have a single L5 12inch Kicker Solo-Beric sub woofer. The box I currently have is taking up too much room in my ride. I trying to find the spec's to build a Street/Bass box. This is one of the box's that Kicker provides the spec's on building. Its the mid range vented box. I got the spec's from Kicker to build the big one, but I'm finding it leave me with no room. I would like to build a new one using the spec's of the mid range street bass box.

Btw, when I say mid range, I mean middle of the size ranges of the 3 box's Kicker recommends building =)

Anyway I have tried to repeated get in touch with kicker to get the specs on that box and havent been able to get ahold of them. They dont return my emails or phonecalls.

Does anyone have the specs for this box or know where I might locate them?

Any help would be great.

Thanks.

Jmac is right. From what he has told me then you wont be happy with the recommended boxes. Besides he is the "Subwoofer Box God" so you must believe in him if you want great sound //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Well I built the big fill sized box that Kicker recommended for the single L5 and it POUNDS!!!!

Has to be one of the hardest hitting setups based on a single 12 I've ever heard. I don't see why the mid range sized box would be any worse.

Do you have any sugguestions or spec's for anything better Jmac?

hey jmac....these are the max dimensions that i can work with....the trunk is relatively big...but i need the space

its a mitsubishi galant 2000 model

specs :

23" X 14" x 12"

or

30" X 16" X 12"

hope u can help me

my tech said kicker's recommendations wont sound good...it wont play low bass properly

what you think ?

thanks //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

i am using the kicker x3i crossover...with a selectable 25 Hz subsonic filter 24db/octave

the second set of specs i gave....is the maximium dimensions....the depth i gave as 12"...is negligable

do u have msn ?

there is alot of space....i woul say about 25-30 inches...i didnt really measure it

the shallower you can design the box...the better

my tech said i should point the sub and the port facing the inside of the car

what do you think ?

thanks again
