need some help with a box

I have been reading now for a while. I was wondering what the ideal material is to build a box and why. Any help would be appreciated.

MDF (medium density fiberboard) is what i'd say 89.3% of boxes are made out of. Its fairly cheap, easy to cut, easy to find, and doesnt resonate as much as other woods

Cool, I'll have to look for it at the local lumber yards. Do I need special blades, or equipment to cut it or anything ?

Also, what's the best construction method for the joints ?

See if home depot will do the cuts for you. If not, if you are good with a circular saw and a jigsaw, you should be good. Get a couple of bar clamps and corner clamps too. Titebond II or III for the wood glue. And some caulk.

caulk cant hurt even if your cuts are perfect it ensures the the joints are air tight

It will make your enclosue .9db louder. You can find it @ wally world...

It's ll make you sticky wet. You can get it from my pants. there is a handle you shake repeatedly until it sprays out.
