I am soon to build my 3rd slot ported enclosure. This one will be between 5-6 cu.ft.,my largest one yet.I'm going to be bracing the inside with wood dowel rods,is there a certain thickness I should use?Options are either 1",1 1/8",or 1 1/4" diameter. Also with wood dowel rods for bracing do I need to use washers insde/out or can I just pre-drill and screw the dowel rod directly to the 3/4" mdf. Thanks

I have been doing a lot of reading. And from what I understand you wouldn't need the washers for the dowels. most suggest 1". Some have even suggested just using scraps of mdf for bracing.
