I have a 2007 Ford Fusion. I currently have in it a pioneer head unit, a pair of jl audio C2 5 1/4" components in the front, stock rear, 2 10" alpine type-s in a ported alpine box, and a kenwood 1800peak 900rms to run the subs. its pretty loud and i noticed my 2 10's definently over power my C2's even with the sub volume turned down to -15 on my deck. So i bought a alpine PDX4.100 to help push my C2's. But my set-up already pushes my alternator to hard. so here's my question i was thinking of just leaving one 10" sub in (would now be at 4ohms, instead of my current 2ohm load) and and running it bridged off the two rear outputs of the pdx, and then running my C2's off the front outputs. I think it would stop my subs from over powering my C2's and also give alittle less strain on my altenator. I know it would probally only put 200W rms to my Type-s doing it this way and the sub itself is rated at 350 rms. i know it wouldn't have nearly the same thump as it use to. but i have a one year old and i would rather go with better sound considering my C2's are currently running off the deck . Would like to know if this amp can do this safely or not.
