Need Info On a Kicker L5 12"

L5s arnt bad, but I would suggest go ahead and spend little bit extra on the L7s, read on here for some different boxes people have used and like and either try and build one or get someone/shop to do

i had 2 kicker 12" L5's and they were good subs for the price i payed for them. Their sq wasn't the greatest, but they did get loud. I liked my L5's over type r's to be honest. I think they are good budget subs and have potential. Just my 2 cents.

look here dude, just because you work for kicker doesnt mean you have of the shop experience that i do, ive been working on cars my whole life and have been an installer for over 6 years. i have passed the MECP multiple times. you guys are just internet junkies who arent open minded to other things, like the fact that kicker is a really great brand of car stereo but they're L5's ****! and L5 couldnt match up to things like a memphis m3124D. im just trying to offer adivce here to somebody who needs it and you come through and say that im stupid?? what the **** is that for? because i dissed a company that you work for? grow up. im not saying you dont know what your doing, but you might need to do a litle research on other brands tha are out there and thnk befor yu bash somebdy trying to help someone.

Been in this industry about 20 years now, know way more than you might ever know about other products, not just ours, so keep up the dream.

WRONG!, one of my employess at my shop has a 92 civic hatchback with a b16 in it, we built the shit out of that thing and it took a corvette by 4 lengths in the 1/4 mile, the hatch has 620 to the wheels with nitrous.

 

rciers arent cars they are people, people who get cars, put wheels, intake, and exaust on them and think that they can go street race. to sum them up a better word would be "wannabee"

**** jL they have shitty cheap voice coils and cones, they are waste of money and it is certanly a waste of money to fix

class a/b amps should be ran at 1ohm thats why your getting distortion. if you go with a class d amp that can handle a 1ohm stable load then you will be alot more clear. class a/b amp should run a 4ohms stable
