Need help with 4 15s box idea and just general ideas.

I agree they are nice. you gotta remember this guys has never had such a system and 2500 from someone with a good electrical signal and a clean unclipped output to an amature I just won;ts recommended it. but yes i do agree he could do the 150+ wit those boogers and a good ported box.

if he would strap those 2 amps and run a solid 4kw to them for daily Id approve, but we gotta caution him..

they wuld do nicely in 15 tuned to 30 with 140in^2 of port area...

LOL coming for someone whos system cant paly rock. yea...

its the zv4s that have a harder time playing upper notes, nightshades play up high decently well even when tuned low now that i've heard a 160 db 4 18 nightshade setup live. starts dying off at 65hz though much better than the 50hz roll off with the zv4s.

Any links to that set up? Only other 4 18 nsv3 setup I seen was on smd and he had spl/standard surrounds and cones on his and Rutherford when he had his which are my woofers meow.

Not really, he was the only one that did a 160 at the comp i showed you with the overall low *** scores. He had two NS-1 amps. His were stock NSv3s standard surround B pillar wall. He had beyma pro audio mids in his doors and a green slot port thats all i remember. Dude was demoing non decaf music that reached high and low in a gmc Jimmy.

Hey guys ive been using 2 soundqubed hds312s for awhile now, now i am tired of it and im ready to go big and maybe ill be able to hang with the big ones in my area. My goal is to atleast hit over 150 dbs which i should be able to do with 4 1200 watt 15s... My goal is to use the very back of my truck since i have bed back there and a cover over it no leaks are there so it will be perfect i plan to cut the inside of the cabin to where the box faces in the cab exo has a video on it i have the same truck a 2001 ford f150. My max demensions are Height: 18", Width: 48", and Depth: 50" but i can go over 50" if i need to. I want them to have the right amount of space so they can use there full ability. I currently have an audiopipe 3k which is a very good amp in my opinion quarter of the way up for 2 hds312s and there playing as hard as they can play and thats no boost or anything. so ill be using that amp or buying another audiopipe 3k and have them chained together. I would like to use atleast 5 cubic feet per soundqubed hds315 and i would like to be like 30 hz tuned or something like that. I may not have provided the best information but any help would be appreciated ive been waiting to do this for along time and ive finally got the chance to start this build I have a passion for Subs and amps and im ready to go comps and stuff like that so this build would be awesome as a project for me. If a picture of the truck is needed i can provide that.

So if you want to save money, you can reuse your 12s and get two more hds 312s and do a 4th order with your current dimensions.

If you want to go all out, sell the 312s, get 4 hds 315s and extend your depth to 70-75 and you can make some magic happen with a 4th order blow through. Either way, box will look sort of like this from up top. Hds 300 series spec pretty well for 4th orders and a lot of people on soundqubed only group has success with them in that configuration for massive lows.

Box building is simple, make a big box, make 4 sealed cabinets inside and cut sub holes, Cut a square for the port and make a square port and attach, you can modify length to adjust tuning as well. Good thing about 4th orders, they are already pretty strong structurally so you wont need that much bracing if any at all. 2 cubes sealed for each 15 and 4.5 cubes ported. with 12s it will be 1.25 cubes sealed 3.125-3.75 cubes ported.

either way this has the potential to get pretty nasty on the lows.

What tuning freq are you going to go with? Or are you going to make 2 ports? One for daily and one for SPL?

And are you going to get another 3k or what are your plans for amps?

Yeah guys I have enough room to go with 6 I'm going to be Loud lol for sure but it's an addiction man my dad said **** your gong to blow the windows out I don't think it will but It will be Loud man and I'm going to have 2 audiopipe 3ks 1 amp on 3 subs making it 1.34 ohms since I already have 2 2 ohm subs..

Jeff recommended i do 2 ports that i like the sound of one for spl one for daily... For now ill just use a daily port until i can figure out how to make the spl port.
