i was going by diagram he showed with 2 channel amp and dvc subs., i looked amp up and corrected myself but idk if the dvc or not now he'll have to tell us..
Re-read the thread... he did and you were correct I believe...

Okay when I tune the amp I'll be sure that there is no distortion. Also, does anyone have any good cheap recommendations for a mono block budget amp? I'm not looking to blow the bank, but I don't want junk either so a good medium would be nice. I was looking into planet audio, would that be a good choice? Also again thanks so much for your help! Glad to know I can run my existing amplifier for now!!

Don't look at planet audio

I like the Zapco STs. The 1000 will be good for you.

Wow I must be ignorant haha I was looking at the "2000" peak watt rms planet audio stuff, is that overkill? What actual watt rms should I be looking for in an amp? I was thinking 800 since both my subs are 400. Thanks!
The whole buyer's experience is about Manufacturers and their ratings anymore... some are accurate some well not so much...LOL!

Yes 800 RMS is fine... even a little more is OK... those subs are actually decent starter subs... they can sound pretty good in a custom box

Well I bought them with a ported box for 44 bucks so I would say I made out good haha

Don't trust ratings. Some are way exaggerated. There's no regulation to this. They can say whatever they want. Once you have been doing it a while you will know who you can't trust.

Sure, 600 volts, yep. If you’re trying to launch the subwoofer cones to the moon! And, that’s if they don’t just vaporize first!

Is that 1000w max? Don't expect to be able to bridge a 1000w amp at 2 ohms and get 500w x 2ch. I'm pretty sure you can't with that amp, for...
