Hey there, So I have a 2016 Kia optima daily driver and I am looking to add a single 10” subwoofer up to 1000w rms that takes up no more than 1.5cu ft space, I have $250 for sub and was looking at either the Sundown SA-10 v2 1000w 2 or 4-ohm or Fi Xv3 10” 1000w 2-ohm.... I mainly listen to Metal, hard rock, hip hop and rap and am looking for better quality sound over most air. I’d like to keep the space used to 1.5cu ft Max and for amp my budget is $300....I also plan on placing in 35hz tuned box.

So Just to wrap it up $250 for 10” sub and $300 for up to 1000w amp.... THANX!!

Of those 2 I’d get the Sundown SA. Sundown is a great company who stands behind their products. Also look at the SSA Gcon. Another great sub from another great company. I think the SA can get louder but the Gcon will sound better (not that the SA will sound bad).
I am not a fan of catalog companies like AB

For SPL:
1- SA 10. 4 ohm DVC. Wire to 2 ohm. Kicker 46CXA
1200.1T amp (1200 watts rms @ 2 ohms). The amp will run you about $350 with bass knob but the SA will be under $250.

For SQ:
1- DD Audio 610. 4 ohm DVC wired to 2 ohms$200
Kicker 46CXA800.1T (600 rms @ 2ohms) $250
-or- Rockford R2-750x1 (500 rms @ 2ohms) $260

Advise- go with your gut and good luck!

Probably better off with a smaller magnet 10 (2.5”vc) that asks for 750 watts rms but can take higher. Sa10 classic and new version only call for 1.0 cubes so after displacement and optimal sizing for output your probably be at around 1.5 cubes. You’ll likely be at 2 cubes or more for a 1k 3” vc woofer.

Used, as well.
