I have these subs in a ported box...custom made at a car audio shop..they hooked everything up..

i would say that im running about 600 watts @ 3 ohms...to each sub....im not sure though..........

and i have a 5 farad blue legacy capacitor....and i thought that would stop the red blinking but it didnt .... i have know idea why the bass boost controle is blinking red or if it is bad when it blinks red...

The 1500 HCT is 2000 watts rms as long as u can deliver the power. The red that u see when it hits a slightly harder bass is the amp clipping which is not good. Usually its either the gain is set to high or even sometimes turning the bass boost down some is what i've been told.

do mean u each sub is wired in parallel to 3 ohms, if so they should each get 750 watts rms a piece since the amp would see a 1.5 ohm load since it's a mono amp?

well, from your first post it looks like you're:

A.) clipping

B.) suffering severe voltage drops

C.) running too low an impedance

D.) "Bass Boost" = "teh ghey"

E.) all of the above.

Those subs are dual 6. If each is wired at 3; then you have them wired to 1.5: you are prolly running under what ABahn rates them for (1kw@2ohm mono per your posted specs).

If each is wired at 3; then you have them wired to 6ohm: you prolly have the gain & boost cranked to compensate for the high impedance. Clipping.

i would say that im running about 600 watts @ 3 ohms...to each sub....im not sure though..........
You're amp wont putout 1200@3ohm (stereo). Nor will it putout 1200@3ohm mono. Nor can you wire those to drivers to a final load of 3ohm.

You specs state 2000max @ 1 ohm ; 1 ohm stable ; but only rated to 1000rms@2ohm.

Wanna clarify how You have it setup? Could probably help more.

In the meantime, turn down (or off) the bass boost and set the gains properly. Check your impedance load before you do though.

ok....i will check my setup when i get home.........so what your saying is...take the base boost control thing off...and set my gain higher...or lower.???

Yes, off with the bass boost and set your gain using the gain setting tutorial. But, by the sound of things, you'll likely have to turn it down.

listen to squeak... bass boost is very bad!!!

as ron popeil [of food dehydration/home rotisserie] would say:

"just set it and forget it..."

you can always make small adjustments from the headunit

once you get the gains where you want them...

i cant help watching infomercials...

there is a newer one with knives!!!!!!

they give you like 36 knives or something... i was

watching with the GF and i predicted 22... man...

i didnt think it was going to get all crazy...

btw...

my 2 12" SE's will be here oct. 19th [tuesday]...

im dying for them... i ordered sept. 24th...

the wait is the enemy!!!
