Need box plans for 2 10" Alpine TypeR's

I am finally getting my dad off his butt today to start the box... I can't find recommended volume on the Alpins website, so can someone help me with dimensions or maybe a drawing? That would help me out a TON, thanks.

Recommended sealed box volume = 0.55 cu. ft - 0.8 cu. ft.

Use a box building program to figure out the dimensions - you want to end up with .55 - .8 of internal airspace per driver.

oh, btw, I want it to be dual chamber... will that change anything? and do you have any links to free box building software?

WinISD is free...search for it on Yahoo! and download it.

Dual chamber - 1 chamber for each sub, divider running right down the middle of the box...changes nothing(be sure to make sure your dimensions are right though, to get the correct airspace).

So a dual chamber box sounds no different from a single chamber box? I thought both subs pushing the air around might make a difference in sound.

I dont like running 2 subs in the same airspace because if 1 stops working, then the other sub thinks it is using not half, but all the airspace...which can cause harm to it. So I blow 2 subs instead of 1...

yup, thats what I was told also and why i decided to go dual chamber, thanks steve, appreciate the help
