Okay, heres whats going on. I have two Audiobahn High Excursion 15s. I am currently running them at 8 ohms. They are in a 3.8 cubic foot sealed box. I am running them off a Power Acoustik PA2-520. It is a 520 watt peak amp. I know i need a new amp, but here is what im doing. I am putting them in a 10.33 cubic foot (before displacement) slot ported box (tuned to 32 hz). How much better (louder) will it be? How much different will it sound? Also what amp do you guys reccomend me to get later to run these subs at 1 ohm? Thanks alot for your help!

a box that size will bump no matter what you put in it......ten cubes is on the large side. If you give those bad boys about 1kw each in that box, you're gonna have something that will tear your head off and more than likely make it very hard to breathe in your vehicle. if you've got the space, i say go for it. as far as an amp, you're gonna either need two large amps or one REALLY large amp. if you can get your hands on an earthquake d2 or something a little cheaper like one of those big fuggin visonik amps, that would be your best bet. Otherwise, I'd check into a pair of HiFonics z1000d's. They go for about $250 each on ebay....

ps. no matter what you do, you're gonna need to upgrade your battery and probably alternator to power those boys to their full potential without killing your stock system.

GET RID OF THAT SEALED BOX AND AMP

get a audiobahn 1500HCX from me for CHEAP and port them, 4 cubes per sub, i can help with box specs too!!!! they will be rip shit loud

The box i already have designed and everything. The actual air space is about 9 cubic feet inside after displacements and everything. So, its actually gonna be about 4.5 per sub. How much would you sell me the amp for? I will most likely be interested in getting one soon. Thank you. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Aren't those subs DVC? If so and you wanna go cheap pick up a pair of BP1200.1's around $275 or so each if you look around.. ikesound I think. You may get a better deal though through our roommates here so dont count em out..
