Need BIG amps!

Ok, as some of you may know, we are having probloms with the audiobling clipping. Im really not liking this. So Im on the hunt for new amps, perferbly 2 of them, 1 amp per sub.

But heres the deal. The amps must be 1 ohm stable bridged, none of this 1 ohm stable stereo crap... The amps must push anywhere from 2000 watts -- 3000 watts rms bridged at 1 ohm.

Im looking at the new US Amps. The USA-6000 which isnt out yet that I know of, but I think that a guy I know has 9 of them because he is sponsered by them.

USA-6000

Two Channel Class AB Amplifier

Total Power Output: 6000 Watts RMS

THD at Rated Power: 0.1%

Signal/Noise Ratio: >105dBA

Frequency Response: 5Hz-50KHz

Damping Factor: >2500

Fuse Rating: 900 Amps

Dimensions:

114mm / 4.50in High

229mm / 9.0in Wide

629mm / 24.75in Long

Weight: 14.52kg / 32.00lb

Variable 24dB Low-Pass Active Crossover

MSRP: $3,299 USD

One Ohm Stable

3000 Watts x 2 into 1 Ohms

6000 Watts Bridged into 2 Ohms

Available in Black or Chrome

So after looking at its specs, they point out that the total power output is 6000 watts rms, and that it pushes 6000 watts bridged 2 ohm, and then they say it is 1 ohm stable. So is it one ohm stable bridged??? is so this thing will push 8000 watts easly in 1 ohm bridged..

So yea, I guess I want to know if its 1 ohm stable bridged or stereo, because i see alot of cheaper companys saying there amps are 1ohm stable stereo, but I know us amps own all others.

If you got any other suggestions let me know. please give me a model number and site of the amp so I know what to look at, and where to find it.

reminder, 1 ohm stable bridged, and anywhere between 2000 and 3000 watts rms..

before you do the new amps, get that alternator and get the big 3 done. then see if your having voltage drops.

clipping is from turning the gains up too high and not matching the head unit pre-amp voltage with the gains (turning them up too high)

the amp wants more power, supply it. if you get that USAMPS6000 or whatever, its going to want more power than that audiobahn.

its not clipping, its dropping the voltage because you cannot supply the power (from the other thread)

fix this, THEN buy a new amp(s).

ok //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif the big 3 has pretty much been done from the get go tho. Never heard of it put as the "big 3" though. we do have dual alternators becuase we took of the air condition pump and mounted the 70 amp in place of the a/c pump. so we are looking at 160 amps combined if you can do it that way.

I just got off the fone with us amps, the guy told me that i am a fruitcake if I want to put that much power to the subs, This guy said he use to be the sales marketer for treo, and before that he worked for Digital designs as a sales rep. and now he is at usamps. I wish my life could revolve around car audio so much like this guy.. imagine the stereo he prolly has....

He told me about the double d amp that they have that will push around 5800 watts rms i think, but its 6 grand, but he said that is what I need.

They where very nice. never had customer service like that before with any company. I got put on hold a few times, but they checked for local retailers of their products and everything, He also told me a few other things, which i was susprised to find out...

from what you said in the other thread, you didnt mention anything about hooking wires to the battery and alternator. you said you ran 1\0 from the battery to the amps.

care to clarify?

do you know what hte big 3 is?

Eclipse da7232, 2000watts RMS x 2 ohms (4000w max power).

I've actually got one practically n.i.b. PM me if you're interested.

The 4000w peak falls under the ILS (If Lightning Strikes it) category. I used to run the same amp and have sold many of them. The info actually came directly from my Rep. Eclipse has always had a hardtime with posting info....

Fair enough //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

However I just threw the 4000 max comment in, point is it still fits the criteria he was talking about which is the 2000 RMS.

Gotcha //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif , wasnt meant as a flame or anything, just posting the info about Eclipse really...

From the other post:

And there is 1/0 gauge running throughout the car, from alt to the battery under the hood, then from the batter under the hood to the 3 batteries in the back seat is 1/0 gauge, then from them batterys to the cap is 1/0 gauge, then from the cap to the amps is 4 gauge, only like 2 feet worth of it. and from the amps to the speakers is 8 gauge. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wowflash.gif.89a61f4caede63a11dac36e97d61323e.gif all grounds are made with 1/0 gauge too. and we still have a power shortage. this is what I dont get. I wonder if the 3 farad cap is only good for up to 3000 watts or so that it could be restricting the flow of juice to the amp???
Trust me the wiring is good. The cap was took off, and it seems to help alot, although the cap is what we where going by for what we are dropping down too, and its accurite with a seprate led readout meter, now we are only going down to about 11.8 volts to about 12.5 if we bump it kinda hard. The amp isnt clipping as easy, but I just think the subs are power hungry and want more, and instead of buying another audiobahn amp, id go and get 2 nicer amps like us amps, or orion.
