Name Some Old School Equipment Game!

Anyone remember the Radio Shack Optimus brand? I had a pair of their boxed two ways...

One 3"mid + 1" tweet in it's own casing. You could mount them anywhere. I also had an Optimus 250w 7 band graphic equalizer. Pioneer Supertuner cassette with the autosearch function. Remember when they were dial radios and 12w/channel was unbelievable? How about the Jensen Quadrax 6x9?? I had 4 pair of them in my mustang. I remember the MM series 6x9 with their plastic cones, replaced my jensens. Then Stillwater Designs came around. For those of you who are still young, they made Kicker truck boxes. One passive radiator, two 8's coupled with two horn tweeters. A full range box. You couldn't buy seperates unless you tore up your dad's home speakers.

I remember when Norman Labs came on board to compete with Stillwater Designs...

once again, an OU/OSU rivalry.

This is old school kiddos....true old school....circa 1982-1988...

In 1988 I bought my first pair of Alpine speakers, some 4x10's for my regal turbo. THEY SUCKED!!!! So I sold them, and bought some pioneers that sounded much better.

NICE! That was before Rockford yet you listed it as a Rockford //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
I for some reason did not think that it would sell , if I did not put rockford:crazy: . Hay at least I sold the relic;) .

Well, blue (mirroring your sentiment of not trying to come off like an ***) - I guess what might be "old school" to some might be freggin' ancient to others.
In 1980 I was seven years old and much more concerned about after-school cartoons than how good the stereo in our '78 Dodge van sounded.

I didn't really become aware of aftermarket mobile audio gear until high school and didn't have anything that could have been considered decent until after I graduated.

It's all relative, I suppose.
Yeah...it isn't "old school" unless it's from the '40s //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

How 'bout these? Fosgate 'The Punch' 10s. SVC 8 Ohm, only rated for 100w RMS ~ circa 1992. I ran these for several years before selling them to my landlady who is still bangin' on 'em currently //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Those are 'The Punch' "Classic". I had 1 15" in 92. I also had the real 15" 'the punch' back in 89. Also, had the 'pro' series from 89.

punch 75 was my first amp in 1991 I think the year was.

I currently run 2 2nd gen. RF Punch 150's (89). Still rockin hard and punching very strong! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eek.gif.771b7a90cf45cabdc554ff1121c21c4a.gif I also run a RF PA-1HD eq and a RF XV-1 electronic x-over from 89.

I started out with 1 Punch 45, 45 & 75, 75 & 150 and finally 2 150's. All I have ever run since 89 and I have been very satisfied with each of them!//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/thumbsupwink.gif.129404938effda6ad9cca39e7f4b58a3.gif
