My sub drowns out mids and highs

Im going to suggest like the rest here, turn the bass down. Otherwise, get you a good set of front speakers on a amp in order to keep up.

Me personally, I like to do my front stage first, because I enjoy listen to some detail in music, but thats me lol.

 
wr11 , man do some reasearch on here really man. you'll learn sony is sh*t man. like if your on a budget man for a nice component set can go on ebay can either get a nice Re comp set or pioneer rev set. the Re set is cheaper both very nice for the price. if you don't have the cash man save up or trade things. Just a suggestion Gl to ya man:D.
