ok sorry, im alright...that jsut made me chuckle. So i guess by telling me that Rhino will never replace AutoCad, that must mean you are on the board of directors and know soemthing that Bob McNeel does not know. He is by the way. the founder and president of Robert McNeel & Associates and is the largest reseller of autodesk products. Let me spell this out to you in words you can understand...Rhinoz buisznass gots to be 10 timez larga then that of the audocadd programz so bobby pulled the plug on them autocad biatchez to make way for RHINO:up2somet: .

And i am in no way offending Autocad, however i am just stating the facts which i have received in an Mcneel newsletter:crap:

Heres my version of that box, not to scale as yours seing how there was no measurments but its roughly the same. And yes the rendering wasnt going my way so the box doesnt look as good as it could. ill try to get it lookin better:crap:

the rest of it that I have is boxes. I doubt I could get ahold of my projects I did in the class I took though. We made airplanes, simple machines, animated the machines, dragonflies, trains, all kinds of stuff.

Thats too bad, i woulda liked to see some of it. I did some annimation on my car, did like lambo doors, and the subs in the trunk pulse...they had like 2 inches of exursion:laugh: .i will try to get a video or something of them. Anyways, heres on of your box plans in 3d that i felt like making

AutoCAD has been replaced by SolidWorks & Katia already... see if Rhino will ever replace those programs ... Or even 3DStudio Max.

Oh really..well i wasnt aware that those programs already replaced it, i have actually only heard of 3D studio max. The way i interpreted the newletter was that Rhino was replacing autocad. But i guess this is not the case. It must just mean that autocad is going to be discontinued, and they can now focus most of their efforts on improving Rhino. Thanks for the info

SolidWorks + Katia are extremely powerful programs that cost alot of money for a liscense, they are not as abundant as AutoCAD but can do absolutely everything.

no experience with rhino here, used autodesk inventor a little in engineering, so i hate it :-D

i am learning solidworks slowly now, and i love it so far, autocad sucks if you ask me, i used it for a while and was never impressed

how do u change the mesuring system in sketch up. no matter how far i zoom in, it still reads in feet
