Would this work as an enclosure correctly?

Basicly put a peice of mdf up and liquid nail it to the bare metal? so the bottom and back would be the truck and the battle would be mdf. I'm pretty sure I would have to make sides to get a good seal but would it be a decent sealed enclosure?

It would be very hard to get a good air tight seal. Also the sheet metal on the truck would have an awful lot of flex.

With it sealed completely and an large amount of deadening, ......maybe.

If it were me, i would make a back/sides out of fiberglass to ensure a tight seal...but that would cost alot more, and take alot longer however may save you some trouble in the long run

unless he wants to cut a hole in the body he cant.

Cut those " tabs" off use some 5/8" MDF and make an enclosure that fits in there.

The smaller would should give you more internal volume. And its cheaper than fiberglass.

You will have to make a wedge enclosure, they arent that hard though

It's more than just a wedge and it's a very tight fit, I did build a box that held 8's but to get a 10 back there can be done but I'm only half skilled. Thats why I was trying to get away with just having a baffle with sides.

Any other input or is it just plain going to sound bad?
