My new system ^^

<-- Yes, that's me.
Didn't get too many comments on the last post, so I wanted to see what people thought of my final plans here, since my old car is getting towed away, I'm selling off my old stereo stuff, and getting a full new setup done right.

Either my Alpine CDM-9803 or my friend's JVC HU - http://www.crutchfield.com/p_105KDHDR30/JVC-KD-HDR30.html?tp=5684 - not getting it off of crutchfield.

Two component sets of the PG RSD's - http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=product.display&Product_ID=6952

One Hifonics TXI-4408 powering them - http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=product.display&Product_ID=6273

Two MA Audio Shallow mount subwoofers - http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_12117_MA+Audio+HK1001F.html - mounted under the two front seats, one for each.

Either a Hifonics BXI-1208 amplifier powering those - http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=product.display&Product_ID=6640 - wired to 2 ohms.

Sound deadening will be putting some insulation in the doors - nothing great, but it'll prevent the rattling, and it'll be what I have extra laying around.

All mounted in a 1996 Infiniti G20. Total cost to me ~ $645 - TXI-4408 was obtained for $100, JVC HU would be obtained for $50. Could cut the HU off and stick with my Alpine, but I like the aux port and the MP3/WMA compatibility. Plus the wiring, ofc.

Thoughts?

why 2 pairs of components?
Because I have people that ride in my back seat every day - I'm pretty much the designated driver. Gives a good balanced sound that everyone can hear without drowning out conversation. And then I needed the trunk space, too, why the subs are mounted under the seats. Not to mention, with the subs under the seats, there's nothing in the back to drown out the rear speakers - it'd sound odd without much rear fill at all - and the components are fairly cheap.

that means it's time to save up some more

that amp is kinda weak too

i've save a little more cash and get some better stuff

you're on the right track with the rsd's though..nice little pair of speakers

You can get a Kicker 750.1 around here for cheaper than the Hifonics, and it's usually rated at 850-900 on most birthsheets i've seen posted up. Just some help to save some money.

I'm about at my limits of how much I can put into it period - taking into account the car cost, and my college. By next summer, I won't have any spare cash. In fact, this is probably already more than I should spend
However, if I can pick up the subwoofer amp cheap from a pawn shop or something similar, I'll probably keep a pair of the rsd's in the back, and upgrade to the ID comp set. But that's moderately unlikely.

That could make a difference. I'll take a look around. Don't want to go active either, I'm not going to be that much into it - just want a good solid SQ sound for a good price.

Shallow mounts are because I have room under the seats and I need the trunk space. Sound deadening is being provided because I can pull out some extra insulation from my attic - being finished atm, won't be audio, but it'll work decently enough.
