My install's coming along nicely

How about this example then.
I also can afford PHD speakers with their expensive included crossovers but I didn't buy them because I run a full active system and do not need to waste my money buying things I do not need, same as your 3 pairs of RCA's when a DSP only needs 1 pair.
To each their own! :)

And like I've asked before, then WHY does my CDE-153BT HU have six RCA preamed outs and my Alpine PXA-H800 have SIX RCA inputs and EIGHT RCA outs? If two of each will do?

Man are you ever gonna stop sayin that sh*t !?

Your HU simply has 6 pre-out in case you would need them to connect many amps directly to it, WITHOUT any DSP !! why won't you understand that ?! it has been said to you by many of us so many times !

And your DSP has 6 inputs in case you need all of those to build a full-range signal ! F*ck man, do you ever listen to what people tell you around here ? That DSP is not specificaly designed to work with that HU, like you seem to be thinking. Those sh*t are not sold as a package, they are meant to be working with all types of hardware....d*mn !

Let me guess, i'm sure you'll find a way to troll this **** around huh !

Yeah, I listen to everything everyone here says, to me anyway. And I take it all with a lot of salt, if you know what that means.

I also think about "Did Alpine just put six RCAs out as a marketing ploy I fell for?" Could be, after all Alpine is an evil multinational CORPORATION!!!

I think about a LOT of things! I try especially to think about THE EVIDENCE!! I try hard not believe in anything with little to no evidence. Like religions and stuff.

what i just told you is true evidence....

Say you don't have any DSP ok. Just an HU, amps and speakers. Let's say you have 8 speakers that need two 4-channel amps to run. And you have a pair of 12'' that requires one amp. You would typically need 3 pair of RCA, right ? That's why you HU has 6 pre-out, period !

The DSP only needs an input of full-range signal such as a pair of pre-out out of the HU. Then the DSP dispatch different signals according to the components you are running. Having all pre-out connected to the DSP is redundant.

Can you believe that i have absolutely ZERO experience with DSPs, can you believe that i've never even SEEN one in real life ?! And i'm the one who's telling you this while you are the one who hired an ''installer guy'' that ''won'' contests ? crazy sh*t huh !

So INTERNALLY to the HU the multiple RCA outputs are essentially nothing more than an RCA splitter with NO difference between the outputs in frequency and intensity (output voltage) between them, electrically?? After all the STEREO music sourced has only two channels, slightly different in frequencies. I know just labeling something as "front" or "rear" means nothing electrically.

And what anyONE says is not great objective evidence, it is hearsay!

I invite anyone to correct me if im wrong but....if you have 3 pair of pre-out, basically it would be FL, FR, RL, RR and sub pre-out. Sub pre-out is just so you can control the sub level on the HU and it should have a built-in LPF. All 4 others are full range for sure.

I "believe" you, or more precisely I trust YOU think what you are saying is objectively true.

I guess I have triple RCA redundancy in getting my stereo signal out of my HU and into my DSP! :) And they are PURPLE! :)

Jesus Christ ! mark the calendar he finally admit it ! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fro.gif.c695f1f814b01c4ad99fe7f8cccadd29.gif

Did cocaine recreationally ONCE! That was enough to teach me to stay away from cocaine, it's just too good. And I'd never pay for a hooker, I want a LOT more than just s e x. So that's a lousy analogy for me.
I should have said "I can afford not to be picky" about my custom RCA cables. My installer guy got a price quote from DroppinHZ of $227 (shipping included) and he was kinda surprised it was so much, as was I, but I HAVE/HAD the $227 so...

John Kuthe...
Don't like the fact that the word "recreational" is inserted in front of the word "cocaine" or even "marijuana" and "medical marijuana"....it's still the same drugs no matter what.

You just did that last week right? Explains a lot now...

If you read the manual you wouldn't question what has been said. My DSP also has 6 inputs. Guess what? It works with a single Left and right.
Now now, I'm an engineer, remember? We never read the manual first! ;-) Only if we have to.
