My fiance would much rather have a low tuned ported design because she prefers quality reproduction as opposed to rumbly bass. Of course, she hates rap...

Anyways, I'd go with doing whatever you want. It's obvious she doesn't care about sealed vs. ported, nor would she even be able to tell.

ebay has loaded kicker boxes with blown subs ALL day for $50.

I did a system in my fiancee's car, and I got a 10 CVR dual 4. Its on a Crunch Drive 800w 2 channel, and I have a matching 4 channel on 2 alpine 6x9s in the rear, and polk dB 5.25s in the front door. Her head unit is my OLD 2001 Panasonic 801u. Its a great system. I am always trying to get her to let me upgrade everything tho.

Does she want trunk space? Although 1.Xcuft ported isn't even really big but still a sealed would be much smaller and I assume since she's a girl she uses her trunk often.

well her seats fold down if she needs the room, i want to mount amp on back of seat but ill just mount to box so if she decides she doesnt want or anything it doesnt leave ppermenant marks, she onl has her hockey bag but she doesnt play anymore.
