YOU'RE DOING IT WRONG!!

You're supposed to do the 4/0 to the 2/0... You're bottle necking the power with the 2/0 going back. Why not just run 4/0 all the way through and call it a fucking day?
I will be doing 1/0 distro block into 2 runs of 4g, several amps will not accept 1/0 or 2/0 and the distro i am using is a 1/0-4awg to 4awg-8awg x2

are you going to claim that i am bottle necking my power as well?

how would you do it if you had two amps that will only accept 4 gauge or smaller?make 2 runs of 4 gauge from the batt? that's unecessary...

No, no, no.

He's doing 2/0 to the back of the car, then blocking it out to 4/0 out.

If an amp can only accept 8awg in, then what can you do?

For maximum power availability, keep the distro block as close to the amp as possible.

As for OP:

You just told us wire for each thing, you didn't tell us how much wire.

And to clarify, did you get 4/0 (0000-AWG) or 4-AWG? There's a HUGE difference.

0000-AWG is fcking HGUE. 4-AWG is decent sized.

The silver wire on the right is 2-AWG.

If you wire is smaller than that, the whole post is changed.

Asking for clarification and pictures if possible OP.

on the 2/0 thats wat it says on wire the 4 says 4 awg it is out of a amp kit i got off my buddy there like 12-14 foot there and i got the 2/0 from the local welding shop theres like 30 foot of it

how do u post pics
Upload them to a website (My favorite is Photobucket) then click on the little portrait picture on the toolbar of the message and put in the link.

As for the wire:

4/0 and 4 AWG are polar opposites.

2/0 Into 4AWG is more acceptable.

If your amp can only take 4-AWG, that's fine. But like I told shane, try to keep the length as short as possible.

You'll also want to find at least 2 fuse holders that will accept 2/0. I have no idea where you can get them-- or even if they make fuses big enough for 2/0 gauge.

But the basic Idea is run the 2/0 from your battery into your trunk on one side of your car. 6 or so inches from your battery terminal, you want to add a fuse that's the proper size per wire. I'm not sure how many ampers the 2/0 can take, maybe someone else can answer that. But, then you run it to your distro block, then to your amps. Easy.

For your RCA's, run them on the OPPOSITE side from your power.

I.E. If you run your power on your driver's side, run the RCA's on the passenger side.

For the cleanest look, take your time when running the wires... and don't take short cuts.

Take your panels off, but very carefully. Look up walk throughs online before you just start tearing shit out.

but im running a batt in trunk 2 so do run 2/0 to batt then run the fuse block between amp and back batt and im running 3 amps so i need a distro block to split off to each amp
