i would go with 3/4" MDF, I never use anything smaller than 3/4

if u are doing a small sealed box for a not so great sub 1/2" is fine. but if u are doing a larger box u will want to use 3/4 because 1/2 will flex too much on larger pieces

im still building and ordering shit right now but within the next few months i should have it don and i will post pics of build from start to finish i work 12 hours a day six days a week so i dont really have alot of time im at work right now

YOU'RE DOING IT WRONG!!

You're supposed to do the 4/0 to the 2/0... You're bottle necking the power with the 2/0 going back. Why not just run 4/0 all the way through and call it a fucking day?

BTW: If you're wondering... wires can take a lot of amperage for short periods (or lengths of the wire). That's why a lot of subs only have 10g in or less when they're running 3K+ RMS.

That's why people do the 4/0 then the 2/0, because for a short distance, the 2/0 can manage the amperage. But, the longer the distance the more resistance, and the less amperage it can run.
