Think that about does it for parts/checklist. Starting with the box today. Pics and Specs to come tonight.

It would be a Sundown 3k but funds just didn't work in my favor. I was ripped off on the DD and had to get a recone, but Woofercooker definitely helped me out and saved me some money to keep this project moving forward.

Step 1.....

I'll be up all night so hopefully more updates to come =)

two different batts should work out fine in the back, theyre just feeding off each other. and the sub looks **** beautiful. the amp was a good price, and if you have electric to back it up, its ok.

i will have enough sundowns for the both of us, but he doesnt get any.

Figure the batteries should be fine. Keeping the Kinetik closer to the amp for faster discharge (maybe?).

Couple more pics for ya

and a little bit of bass to keep me company in the basement...neighbors love this shit

Ahaha im workin on it.

Waiting on the sub to find exact measurement so I can cut the 2nd baffle. Want it to be a real tight fit.

Got the holes in front cut for the 3 four inch aeroports. Don't have exact specs with me on box but along the lines of 4.1 cubes after port/sub/brace displacement. Sub up port back. Double top baffle w/ flush mount. Round-over bit on top and sides of box. 1" Oak doll rods for bracing. Not sure on color yet --gonna wait on the sub to arrive and see what I think.

Some progress...

Hoping to finish box tomorrow... if I get lucky and the sub arrives. If not, I plan on wiring up the pioneer dehp860, iPod connecter, and remote gain, and then finishing up the CDT comps.

I have never used a remote gain before and was wondering exactly how low the volume of the sub will drop when it is on minimum. If it does not go to a low enough level can I install a switch on the remote wire to shut the sub amp off when needed?
