my box design for a hdc3 (when they are released)

well as soon at this sub comes out im gonna order it. im getting one 15"

the box i was thinking about making was

H=27

W=36

d=19.5

the port is 5.8in wide

tunes around 40hz

a gross volume of 11 cu.ft

i am going to have the port pointed back and the sub pointed upwards.

its going to be going in my jeep. right now the amp i have for it is a Brutus bxi2006d but depending on how it sounds i may go bigger.

will this be a good setup??

Even 6.5-7 is way too big. Aim for around 4-4.5 for daily, imo.

theres people running their single 9515 in boxes from 2cubes all the way to 12 cubes, so i guess if you got the room, go for it.

Seems to be on the big side, but you could try it and see how it works. I prefer 4.5cubes @ 35Hz for daily. 38Hz was a little peaky/boomy, but if it listen to mostly rap then the higher tune should be fine...

well im upgrading from 2 type r 12's i want to be louder even if its just by a little, i will probably end up putting it in a 4.5 cu.ft. then, but i don't know where ill tune it yet.

4.5cuft 100sqin of port @40hz and ur bangin,The biggest box I had luck with 6cubes @35hz,other than that keep it under 5 and dont tune it low.My favorite box was 4.5cuft @ 42 with 3 6" areos.
