Hey everyone was wondering what kinda glue do I use can you be kind enough to help me with a link for some glue or do I use gorilla glue? I was looking at my new sub and it look like it been half glued on and also kinda look like it been reconed. Little disapointed. I just bought it from amazon. the Sub is JL 8w3v3.

No I bought it brand new. It very rare that it have a JL symbols on it and not the W3 symbols logo on the subwoofer and when I was looking at the ring of the bottom inside cone area it look like it got a lip over the cone area and part of it glued and the rest of the way look like it need to add more glue. My phone take some sorry pictures.

you know the ring around the inside of the sub right by the yellow spring or whatever you want to call it, where the wire are hooked up to the cone itself. I see half way glued and the rest of the way look like it doesn't have glue. like a slip on to the cone area to the base of the subwoofer of where the croil is hook up to the paper or polyester dome. In my picture gallery one of the pictures show some glue and the other picture doesn't have glue on it.

Based on ur pics I see nothing wrong. Just cause the glue is not visible does not mean its not glued. Hook it up and see whats going on if there is a defect with the glue/soft parts you will know very quick. Run it free air and look and see if the spider starts to seperate from the former.

You can post pics using photobucket.com.

Awesome thanks for the information debeez. I will remember that. and thanks for all your help people. I did hook the sub up it sound allright. and took a mirrior and look down in the former it is lightly glued on that bad side and have a few little holes from the glue area. I am pushing 350 rms of watts just scared that it will crack it or break it someday. wouldn't hurt to add more glued to it to keep a solid steady sealed tight for the sub to bang.
