Mustang work log (with pics)

me too man.... me too

just getting tired of working on it. just //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/*******.gif.a649d21efc0d1fd4890a6428166586c1.gif at the thought of it, but I really think its gonna be good once its done.

got it all running, only problem now is NOISE. Got high quality RCAs but when car is running I hear alot of engine noise in mids and highs. NEED HELP. dont know what to do to shut that up. Took the precautions I know about.

1. Good Quality RCA's

2. Ran power and RCA's on seperate sides of car.

3. kept RCA's away from the drivetrain (rotating metal)

Still get noise. what should I do?

What is your amp mounted to? Make sure that its isolated from the metal of the car.

yeah, i was reading the noise sticky in the wirring forum, and did the common pioneer fix they have, no help whatsoever. I also gave the radio its own chassis ground, (as opposed to the factory harness ground,) also no help.

TO MSimz, its mounted to wood. And to rob, yeah, may redo the ground to the amp. Got to play with it some. I dont want to, but worst case cenario I will buy a good named isolator. Just really wish I could get it fixed without going that route.

hey man everything is looking good in your mustang...goodluck with getting the noise problem fixed...

added some isolators and it cleaned up the problem a bit, spending the day with the wife, but tommorow gonna redo the ground for the amps and see how it goes. Think I may be able to get a much better ground then I got.
