most common speaker size?

te most common speaker size is 6.5 right? i need new front speakers but im buying a new car soon - i cant buy a cheap set cause my amp will just **** them.. but i dont wanna spend $300+ if im getting a new car in a couple months and might not be able to fit them in...

but if i was to buy a decent set... and with the possibility of fitting them into my next car would 6.5's be the way to go?

if they dont fit, u should be able to make some sort of adapter to make then them fit. So go for it...

or buy a cheap set of coax's and a couple months when u know what speaker size u need, buy then

I wouldn't say 6.5"s are necessarily the most common... You really can't tell because it varies between car to car. You may want to wait until you find a car, and then ask this question again, because I know my car doesn't use 6.5" speakers anywhere. Mine's got 6x9s in the back, and 4.5" by 6" or some wierd thing like that in the front.
