melted terminal/ sub rattles

I was driving with the bass up then all of sudden the sub started to distort and rattle (im using a type x).

i pull over and notice on the terminal one part was melted and the the part of the terminal is all ****ed up and u cant even screw it up or down.

now when i take the wire out the sub stops playing obviously but when its in it still makes a bad rattle noise.

my question is do u think i blew the sub too or just a bad terminal

im getting a new terminal tomorrow and just checkin to see if anyone has had this happen to them
