Can anyone design a 6th order?
i purchased a single MCM audio that was recommended over the tang band sub ( this: MCM Audio Select 8'' High Excursion Woofer - 120W RMS 4ohm | 55-2421 (552421) | MCM Audio Select ) and would like to make a 6th order and suspend it from my parcel shelf in my 2007 taurus and fire the port into the cabin. but i dont know where to begin designing a 6th order (i can design a 4th just not sure on a 6th)
looking for about 30hz-80hz range its gonna be a small setup (obviously with using a 8" sub) im aiming to make something that makes a punch without taking up any trunk room i will Power it off my cars stock 30 rms jbl sub amp (plz dont tell me to get a bigger amp im trying to keep the car pretty stock and clean, IF i decide to get a bigger amp it will be one of those mini amps at about 75rms,)
i aint asking someone to sketch up a cut sheet or anything. just looking for what the 2 chambers should be tuned at and size.
When i punch the numbers into some of those online calculators the gain is in the negatives which im sure you dont want that. also the 2 chambers seem awfully small, so im a little bit lost...
here's what they are giving me:
Vf= .19 cu.ft
Vr= .45 cu.ft
Fb(F)= 58.9Hz
Fb®= 29Hz
Passband= 30.7Hz-76.5Hz
Gain= -0.6
