Maybe A New Car??

ill tell you what, i owned a 99 mk3 jetta...i loved it so much...cept i had a 2.0L motor that was slow but handled like a dream...so I sold it and am now working on a 2000 mk4 jetta with a 1.8L turbo motor. VW's are not that expensive to work with. If you keep your car in good condition, you will be fine and should not have many problems. The audi A4 is cheaper than the S4, the S4 is very quick, but its $$$, along with the A4 thats not that cheap. if you dont know about audi's, the audi may be a bit on the more expensive side. there are some big maintaince things that would have to be done. so basically, just make sure you get a car that the previous owner had taken car of well. and unless you have the money for a newer audi, you dont want an 97/98 A4...the new ones are sweet though...and btw...Jettas are not girly, if you have a manual, lower it and mod it a bit, and have a slighty modded 1.8T motor that will kick the sh*t outta most of the cars out there that think they are sweet...see the look on their faces when a v6 or v8 gets beat by a 1.8L four banger:veryhapp: or just another honda guy:D you could also look at forums.vwvortex.com for answers...but ill warn you, if you ask a question that is answered often, they will all tell you to search...Now if you have anymore questions I can try my best to answer them...hope that helps.

well if thats the route you wanna go...go for it. I was just reading the earlier posts that said things about a passat or jetta...just thought I'd help. good luck finding your car. and yes, it shouldnt be hard to find grand ams pretty cheap...they are everywhere.

audi's have lots of problems and the a4 is slow.. i know cause ive had one it went to shit.. there expensive to fix too... but if u have money and take care of it every few months, it should be fine

yea i was looking at the golfs and passats. but after reading and hearing about their problems i dont think i would want to buy one any more. Plus I hate wasting money on cars to get them fixed. Thats one good thing about domestic cars, is that it isnt really expensive to fix them as long as you still keep it in good shape.

As for the Grand Am and Grand Prix. Im leaning towards the Grand Prix more because it is a lot bigger and seem like a more reliable and powerful car. I also hear and read a lot of good things about the car. Ive seen several under $14k and still have under 20k miles. I think thats a good buy //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/up2something.gif.dd110ecf3ae4b76050d87598f2f8de7c.gif

suit urself...vw's are the sh*t...//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif and acually dont have many problems...gotta get the right car/year/model/motor, thats all...audi's...well now that a different story.

what do u suggest then?

acually, maxima is a very nice car...along with the altima...but they are kinda expensive...if you want used VWs, you must make sure that the previous owner has taken care of the car, which should be the same for all cars. personally, the newer 1.8T passats arent that great. if you have money, a nice GLI jetta would be nice, 4 doors, turbocharged, good looking. or, you can look into just a nice 1.8T motor, or a vr6 motor. nothin older than a 97 I would advise, if you dont work on cars much. I love my 1.8T jetta, its a 2000, and just over 91K and runs very strong. just gotta keep it up like any other car, oil changes, plugs, etc.

and as much as i dont like it, the contour SVT, 4 doors, 6 speed( i think). or a nissan sentra SE-R...they are quick, 4 doors, 6 speed...

now im talkin quick sedans...im not sure if you are looking for more of a luxury car, sport sedan, or family car...so sorry if im not helping. there are a couple more options...hope that helps.

well its just that i would like to buy a car with low mileage but at the same time i want a decent size sedan that will be a reasonable upgrade to what i drive now. And from the looks of it the Grand Prix looks like it will do it. Unless there is another car that will be better buy than that? 10K miles isnt that bad at all
