making me a system for $400

Hey,

Ive got a toyota pickup extra cab with a Sony HU and Rockford Fosgate 6.5" speakers. I listen to mostly rock, but a lot of rap also. I want something that will sound good and that i'll be able to bump. I don't want to take up more than half of my extra cab so 1 12 or 15 would work. What would be a good setup for me? Thanks for any help.

good budget...i'd split it almost down the middle...around $200 for the amp, $250 for the sub, the rest going to building the box and getting the assorted wiring.

Build a ported box, takes more room but you'll get more out of it, a tune in the mid 30's will give you a lot of output without losing too much in the way of SQ.

hell on eBay you can get 1 12in L7, amp, box, AND wiring.. Might I also add you will have a few extra bucks left to buy me some McDonald's for the suggestion.

All refurb directly from Kicker but hey...good stuff for cheap and its basically new.

i have a memphis HPO 15'' subwoofer. 150 plus shipping (no more than 35 for shipping). that will give you a little extra money for your amplifier also.

I wouldn't go with the solo baric sub. I'm not sure how much the 15 HPO's sell for but I know they sound **** good.

u wouldnt u go with the L& if the install is right, they can do just as much as other subs.
