Pretty much. I applied some to my bed floor yesterday, for the sole purpose of a buffer that would stop my fiberglassed MDF box from vibrating against the metal of the bed. I hardly noticed any difference as far as deadening went, but with my Damplifier Pro, I noticed a HUGE improvement.i think most ppl are talking about the fact that peal and seal has almost no sound deadening qualities compared to something like dynamat ex.

It did get the job done for me, but that was for a completely different application than sound deadening, per se.
