lowes carry any sound deadner????

I've had decent luck with some foil backed butyl-asphault stuff that I got at home depot. They also have a thin pure butyl product that is thin, but in layers It's OK depending on the job.

A lot of ppl don't like asphault and I'd be wary if you live in a hot area or can't deal with some smell for a while.

Lot of guys on the forum will shit on you for using it.... Right now I'm using Second Skin, but that was just because I picked it up in trade for something I wasn't using.

god dont get me started on peel n seal....i used it in my marquis for 4 years and had no problems at all. had it on both front doors and the entire trunk. i hate when everyone diss's it. if you clean the surface and apply it correctly you wont have any problems. i currently have it in my mark viii and still have no prob's.

the only thing i suggest is dont apply it when its cold out as it loses its stickyness. Lastly, people says it smells, it does for maybe 2-3days. and its faint at best.

I used peal and seal on my corvette and it helped - until it melted. ( wich did take about a full year to happen )

I live in south FL. and my car was basicly a large glass oven in the heat.

so if you live in a area where your car will get hot out in the sun alot -

and - you want a blubbery mess of melted asphault everywhere in your car - then go for it.

if you garage your car alot - and have some sort of winter time where you live - then its a gamble if it will work good for you or not.

it might - but it shure is messy when it melts.

i think most ppl are talking about the fact that peal and seal has almost no sound deadening qualities compared to something like dynamat ex.
